DARWIN NUNEZ was photographed in Barcelona, only days after becoming a transfer target.

SunSport said that the forward is a surprise prospect to join the Spanish giants this summer.

Darwin Nunez has been photographed with Ronald Araujo in Barcelona.

Nunez erased all of his Liverpool images from Instagram.

He is also a candidate to replace Robert Lewandowski in Barcelona.

He also removed all photos of himself playing for Liverpool from his Instagram account.

Nunez has now attempted to fuel the notion by teaming up with an international teammate.

The 24-year-old is in Barcelona with fellow Uruguayan Ronald Araujo, who plays for Barça.

Araujo posted a selfie of himself and Nunez on Instagram with the caption “Mi Hermano,” which translates to “My Brother”.

The two have played together 17 times for Uruguay, both at the junior and senior levels.

It comes as Barcelona considers a move for the striker this summer.

Nunez has been considered as a potential successor for Robert Lewandowski, should he depart the club.

Barca also believes Liverpool would be willing to move Nunez to help incoming manager Arne Slot’s transfer budget.

We now know Jurgen Klopp’s final big trophy tally at Liverpool: one Champions League, one Premier League, one FA Cup, two League Cups, and (if necessary) a World Club Cup.

But how does his reign rank among the finest of the Premier League era?

In black-and-white terms, Klopp lags well behind Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola, the only two men to win three Premier League titles and a Champions League with the same club.

Those two, along with Brian Clough, Bob Paisley, and Sir Matt Busby, are unquestionably among the greatest managers in English football history.

However, Klopp ranks behind Arsene Wenger, Jose Mourinho (the Chelsea version), Bill Shankly, and Don Revie.

These were all men with the character to shape their clubs in their own image and achieve success, but they did not win as much as they could have.

If Klopp had kept his plans under wraps and won another title, perhaps a triple or quadruple, he would have joined Ferguson, Guardiola, Clough, Paisley, and Busby in the top tier.

However, determining the date and manner of your leaving is one of the most difficult decisions for any management or athlete.

Nunez still has four years left on his deal at Anfield, having joined from Benfica in 2022.

Despite criticism from opposition supporters, he has 18 goals and 13 assists in all competitions this season.
