The First Catholic Pope Speaks! May all be blessed to listen.

Why are Catholics blessed to respect The First Catholic Pope?  Pope Peter was Personally Chosen by Jesus Christ to lead The Only Church He Spoke Into Being on Earth.

~

Question 1:  “What does The First Catholic Pope Speak about in This Weekly Catholic Reading?”

Answer:  “St. Peter tells us how to get our immortal soul into Heaven!”

~

Question 2: “How does The First Pope tell us to do that?”

Answer:  “Today’s Weekly Reading is from Acts 10-45.  The First Pope begins by reminding people not to ‘fall at his feet and pay him homage’ ‘Get up.  I myself am also a human being.’ after Cornelius had “fallen at his feet to pay him homage.’

Then, St. Peter told us whose souls could be admitted into Heaven:   ‘Peter proceeded to speak and said, ‘In truth, I see that God shows no partiality.  Rather, in every nation whoever fears Him and acts uprightly is acceptable to Him.’

~

Question 3: “Did God show that He agreed with those words of The First Catholic Pope?”

Answer:  “The Bible tells us He agreed!  ‘While Peter was still speaking those things, The Holy Spirit fell upon all who were listening to the word.  The circumcised believers who had accompanied Peter were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit should have been poured out on the Gentiles also, for they could hear them speaking in tongues and glorifying God.’

~

Question 4:  “Did The Psalms predict that, a thousand years earlier?”

Answer:  “Psalm 98: 1-4 contains This Prophesy:  ‘Sing to The Lord a new song, for He has done wondrous deeds;  His right hand has won victory for Him, His holy arm. —

The LORD has made His salvation known:  in the sight of the nations He has revealed His justice. —

He has remembered His kindness and His faithfulness toward the house of Israel.  All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation by our God.  Sing joyfully to The Lord all you lands;  break into song; sing praise.’

Catholics honor The Prophecy in those Psalms by saying:  ‘The Lord has revealed to the nations His saving Power.’ before and after each one.”

Question 6:   “Did Jesus Christ tell us how to get our souls into Heaven?”

Answer: “John 14:23 explains:  “Whoever loves Me will keep My Word, says The Lord, and My Father will love him and We will come to him.”

~

Question 7:  “Did Jesus tell us how to ‘keep His Word’?”

Answer:  “John 15:9-17 tells us how to do that.  ‘Jesus said to His disciples:  ‘As the Father loves Me, so I also love you.  Remain in My love.  If you keep My commandments, then you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.’

~

Question 8:  “Which ‘commandment’ of Jesus are Catholics blessed to ‘keep’?”

Answer:  “We ‘keep’ The Church-Creating ‘Commandment’ of Jesus Christ in Mt. 16: 18-20!    ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

~

Question 9;  “What do Catholics gain by keeping the ‘commandment of Jesus’ that took living form in His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church?”

Answer:  “Jesus answers that in John 15:11!  ‘I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and your joy might be complete.’

Catholics may have the ‘complete joy’ of getting ‘the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’ for our immortal soul.  We do not condemn ourselves to  ‘incomplete joy’, forever.”

May God bless us to be the best Catholics that only we can be:  “Completely joyful!”
