Jimmy Butler: If I was playing, Boston Celtics would be at home

Jimmy Butler, Miami Heat player, took to social media after his team was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Boston Celtics.

Reminder, Jimmy Butler injured his knee in the first play-in game against the Philadelphia 76ers. He managed to finish that game, but after detailed analysis, it was determined that he would miss the entire series against the Boston Celtics. The team from Massachusetts capitalized on this well, ultimately easily winning the Eastern Conference quarterfinals 4-1. Besides Butler, Terry Rozier also did not play in this series for the Heat.

“If I was playing, Boston Celtics would be at home. We would have definitely sent the New York Knicks home. I love Thibodeau but I don’t want Thibodeau. I love you but I want to beat you. You want me. I don’t want you. It’s like a one-sided relationship. You in love with me and I love you but I’m not in love with you,” Jimmy Butler said in a video posted on social media.

Butler played for Tom Thibodeau in the Chicago Bulls when he first entered the league from 2011 to 2015.
